In 1984, 12-year-old Donny Berger (Justin Weaver) has sex with his 22-year-old teacher, Mary McGarricle (Eva Amurri).
She becomes pregnant, leading to her crime being discovered. McGarricle
is arrested, and Donny gains custody of their son, whom he names Han
Solo Berger. Donny becomes a celebrity because of what happened, but is
forgotten as he becomes an adult, and loses contact with his son.
While still in his early teens, dimwitted Donny Berger (Adam Sandler)
fathered a son, Han Solo Berger (Andy Samberg), with his teacher who
raised him as a single parent up until Han's 18th birthday. Now, 12
years later, Donny needs $43,000 to pay off the IRS to avoid 3 years of
jail time. Han (who changed his name to Todd Peterson) is a wealthy and
successful businessman who gets an unpleasant surprise on the eve of
his wedding when an uninvited Donny suddenly shows up for some father
and son time.
